Endurance Pace Group leaves at 8:00 am led by Yunker this week and doing a Dam Loop. We will do about 35 miles @ average pace of 14-17 mph. This is a NO DROP ride but you are expected to have some basic level of fitness.

Sunday if anyone wants to step up, I’m sure our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn from C&C at 7:30 am could happen…

For those interested in another fun event Tour de Donut. http://tourdedonutaustin.wixsite.com/mysite/route

SRC Weekend Rides – Downtown to MJs & up River Hills and Red Horn

Cool and crisp mornings will make for great cycling!

Saturday there will be two group ride levels leaving at different times (from Cups & Cones) – Faster Pace and Endurance Pace.

  • Endurance Pace Group leaves at 8:00 am this week and we are doing the classic Ski Shores ride which is short and hilly. We will do about 25 miles @ average pace of 14-17 mph. This is a NO DROP ride but you are expected to have some basic level of fitness. The route can be found here: https://www.strava.com/routes/16065887

After the ride, we meet up at Lakeside for some discounted breakfast tacos, burgers and beer!

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn from C&C at 7:30 am. It is 50 miles and is at an endurance pace typically finishing around a 17mph average speed. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, with a few re-group points, this is NOT a no drop ride. Red Horn is 20 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride.
