This weekend’s rides: Liberty Hill! Red Horn!

SRC,

NOTE: If you have not yet taken advantage of your complementary Squeeze and Freeze at Champion Cryotherapy, do it soon! I have mine scheduled for 1pm Saturday. Afterward, please shoot them a review on Google and/or Yelp.

This Saturday will be nice and hot again. Let’s get all sweaty together and head up to Liberty Hill on a 60ish mile ride (https://www.strava.com/routes/7664897). After the ride we meet up at Lakeside for some discounted burgers and beer!

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn. It is 50 miles and is at an endurance pace typically finishing around a 17mph average speed overall. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, this is NOT a no drop ride. If you cannot hang with the group after repeated regrouping, you may get dropped. Red Horn is 20 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride. The route can be found here: https://www.strava.com/routes/4736117 .

Both rides leave from Cups & Cones at 7:30 am. Come early on Saturdays to grab some coffee, kolaches, and donuts! Support our local ride start shop!

See you soon!

This weekend’s rides: SPECIAL EVENT SATURDAY! ACTION REQUIRED! Return of Red Horn Sunday!

This Saturday we have a special treat! After our ride we will finish at Champion Cryotherapy where they will treat us to a FREE Squeeze & Freeze (NormaTec Compression Therapy + Cryotherapy) and a cold beer! Come experience what pro cyclists and athletes swear by as the most effective recovery modalities. The NormaTec facilitates removal of lactic acid, enhances circulation and delivers a therapeutic leg massage. Cryotherapy accelerates your recovery from exercise, relieves joint pain and inflammation, and delivers an endorphin rush that leaves you feeling good all over. The NormaTec is ~20 min therapy while the cryotherapy is only 3 minutes. They should be able to take care of our whole group in about 75 minutes. We can eat lunch at Red Fin afterward.

NOTE: Due to limited availability, this event is open only to regular SRC Saturday riders in first-to-register order. Get your spot now by RSVP on our SRC Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1971630056415168.

Our Saturday ride will leave as usual from Cups & Cones and will take us down the Triple Bs in a fast-pace 61 mile ride: https://www.strava.com/routes/4732205. Yes, I know its been a while since we went UP the Bs. Soon… in the mean time, look at the elevation profile — Abbotsbury is ready for your extra hard work and domination. Know that recovery and relief is just around the corner at Champion Cryotherapy.
