This weekend’s rides: Bee Creek! Red Horn (with a Father’s day option)!

SRC,

Tomorrow let’s revisit those lovely hills behind Lakeway and do that Bee Creek boogie (https://www.strava.com/routes/3985679). The route is about 62 miles total and includes some great roads.

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn (https://www.strava.com/routes/4736117). It is 50 miles and is at a more relaxed social pace than our Saturday rides, but we typically finish with a 17mph average speed overall. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, this is NOT a no drop ride. If you cannot hang with the group after repeated regrouping, you may get dropped. Red Horn is 20 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride. Since it will be Father’s day, some dudes will tack on another 30 miles or so after we leave Red Horn. If you can get an extra long pass for the day (you deserve it), go long!

Both rides leave from Cups & Cones at 7:30 am. Come early on Saturdays to grab some coffee, kolaches, and donuts!

See you soon!

This weekend’s rides: Red Horn Overload with a sprinkling of Bat City!

Saturday we will mix things up a bit and encourage a ride start outside of Steiner. 1400 Miles is putting on a ‘free beer’ ride at Red Horn (details and RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/events/1612666379024206). There are many ways to participate, but I hope most of you will drive out there and join Bat City’s ride which rolls out at 8am. Afterward we join the 1400 Miles group for beer and whatever. If you don’t want to do that, I encourage you to ride from Steiner to Red Horn and join one of the other rides that are part of this (a 25 or 15 mile route). It is 20 miles to Red Horn from Steiner, so you can still get a nice ride in and participate in the fun. I hope to see most of you at Red Horn around 7:30 and the rest of you after the rides at Red Horn! Please RSVP at the above Facebook event link if you plan on attending.
