Farewell gathering for Brice, Russell, and Stuart (again)

This Friday at 5:30pm please join us at Lakeside Pizza & Grill to share some farewells with some great friends and fellow cyclists.

Brice is leaving us for retirement in Fredericksburg, but will be close enough to hopefully join us in the future or invite us down for some nice hill country rides. Russell’s departure is a bit more extreme… Sweden. Stuart somehow tricked us all into a second farewell gathering before his departure to Atlanta.

I hope to see you all there!

This weekend’s rides: Real Ale! Red Horn!

Saturday is the most awesomest ride… Real Ale! Registration is still open… be sure to join us! See http://realaleride.com/registration/ . There is no other scheduled ride on Saturday, but I’m sure some people won’t be able to make Real Ale and will meet at Cups & Cones at the usual time. Feel free to email the mail list to coordinate something if you are in this situation or just show up on Saturday morning.

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn (https://www.strava.com/routes/4736117). It is 50 miles and is at a more relaxed social pace than our Saturday rides, but we typically finish with a 17mph average speed overall. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, this is NOT a no drop ride. If you cannot hang with the group after repeated regrouping, you may get dropped. Red Horn is 20 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride.

Both rides leave from Cups & Cones at 7:30 am. Come early on Saturdays to grab some coffee, kolaches, and donuts!

See you soon!
