10/10 and 10/11 rides: Long and flat to Liberty Hill! Red Horn!

SRC,

Since last weekend was painfully hilly and next weekend is LIVESTRONG, we need to do a long and flat ride. The route on Saturday will be the Avery Ranch loop plus some extra that has us taking our rest stop at the store in Liberty Hill. The route is here: https://www.strava.com/activities/206580358 and is about 72 miles. Those that want to cut it short have options that we can discuss prior to departure. As usual, we leave from Cups & Cones at 7:30am. We will finish the ride at Lakeside for some discounted food and beer, so don’t miss out!

Sunday is the coffee shop ride to Red Horn. It is 50 miles and stops at Red Horn at around mile 18 for some coffee and breakfast tacos. The ride sometimes has some friendly sprinting, but has frequent regrouping and controlled overall pace to accommodate those that attend. Average speeds have been between 17-18 mph at the end of the 50 miles. Come enjoy a different kinda ride with us! Depart from Cups & Cones at 7:30am.

Got socks yet? SRC socks are in and they look fabulous! Let Jason Yunker know if you want some.

See you soon!

10/3 & 10/4 Rides! Cozy Cove / Bee Creek! Red Horn!

SRC,

The crowd is back for this Saturday’s ride! We should have a good showing to go do some hills out Bee Creek road on something close to our usual Cozy Cove ride. This time we will take a turn up that not-so-flat Bob Wire road! There is a convenience store at the top where you can wipe the puke off of your face. We will ensure that by the time we are finished with this ride it will be perfect for cold beer and hot burgers at Lakeside afterward (with our club discounts for everyone that shows!). Depart from Cups & Cones at the usual 7:30am. It is currently forecast to be 58 degrees Friday night! Should be a very comfortable ride on Saturday!

New kits arrived this week… we should look totally badass in our SRC colors (visitors are welcome of course).

See you soon!
