Many of us will be doing the 2 day Tour de Cure ride this weekend. This leaves us with nobody officially leading the Saturday ride, but if you show up at Cups & Cones at the regular 7:30 am time, I bet there will be others to ride with. Feel free to coordinate via the mail list or Facebook page.
Sunday’s ride to Red Horn is on as usual and will be lead by Kirk. Usual 7:30 am start at Cups & Cones.

Saturday we will take on a slightly new route with some nice climbing over 62 miles. We will ride to Mellow Johnny’s like our usual Scenic ride but then take Red Bud through Westlake to Bee Caves road, do Cuernavaca, and come back home via 620. Afterward we will meet at Lakeside Grill (next to the starting point) for some burgers and beer. I believe we have now negotiated a 20% discount (thanks Steve!). Sunday is our standard Red Horn Coffee Shop ride. We depart from Cups & Cones in Steiner Ranch at 7:30am (SHARP!) for a 50 mile ride that stops at Red Horn for some coffee, pastries, and socializing before returning. It is possible, but frowned upon :-), to head straight back after Red Horn for a 36 mile ride instead of completing the ride with your friends. This is a relaxed pace ride, but we have been averaging overall 16-17 mph.
