Happy Friday!

Tomorrow we will ride to Mellow Johnny’s via Mt. Bonnell! The return route will take us across the pedestrian bridge by Austin High School, through Rollingwood, to Bee Caves where we complete the dam loop. Cuernavaca for extra credit! Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn. It is 50 miles and is at a more relaxed social pace than our Saturday rides, but we typically finish with a 17mph average speed overall. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, this is NOT a no drop ride. If you cannot hang with the group after repeated regrouping, you may get dropped. Red Horn is 18 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride.

Both rides leave from Cups & Cones at 7:30 am. Come early on Saturdays to grab some coffee, kolaches, and donuts!

Some of us (myself included) will be riding the LBJ100 on Saturday. Others can show up at Cups & Cones at the usual 7:30am and decide upon a ride… a mystery! There is no planned ride leader yet… if you have a route suggestion and/or want to lead it, speak up! The attendance will be higher if there is a known plan.

Sunday I will be riding with some of you around Fredericksburg so the usual Red Horn Coffee Shop ride won’t be happening. Instead, Kirk is going to lead a ride to the Triple Bs! This will be a refreshing alternative to the Red Horn… I hope you can make it! The ride departs from Cups & Cones at the usual 7:30am.
