This weekend’s rides: Courtyard Dam Loop! Red Horn!

SRC,

Before I post the rides I want to send out kudos to Andrew, Steve, and Justin for their top spots in USA Cycling’s Cat 5 rankings for Texas (3rd, 4th, and 13th respectively). Awesome, guys! See ranking details below. Go SRC!

Saturday we will try a modified anti-clockwise dam loop with some extra hills for fun. Special features include West Courtyard, City Park, and Ski Shores! The total route is only 48 miles but with around 3700 feet of climbing. Afterward we will grab some discounted burgers and beer from Lakeside Pizza & Grill. See the route here: https://www.strava.com/routes/4069635.

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn. It is 50 miles and is at a more relaxed pace than our Saturday rides, but we typically finish with a 17mph average speed overall. While we make great efforts to keep the group together, this is NOT a no drop ride. If you cannot hang with the group after repeated regrouping, you may get dropped. Red Horn is 18 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride.

Both rides leave from Cups & Cones at 8:30 am. Come early and grab some coffee and donuts!
