NOTE: THE START TIME HAS CHANGED TO 8:30 AM FOR WEEKEND RIDES!

It looks like we have another soggy, cold, and windy Saturday ahead. If it isn’t raining, let’s try to burn off some of the horrible quantities we put into our bodies yesterday with a longish ride to the Liberty Hill store via round mountain. Keep an eye on your email and Facebook for cancelation notices (or use your own judgement based on conditions). After the ride we meet up at Lakeside (next to the start) for some discounted burgers and beer, so put that in your ride plans.

Sunday is our usual Coffee Shop ride to Red Horn. It is 50 miles and is at a more relaxed pace than our Saturday rides, but we typically finish with a 17mph average speed overall. Red Horn is 18 miles away and is where we stop for coffee, breakfast tacos, pastries, and socializing before finishing the rest of the ride.

Both rides depart from Cups & Cones at 8:30 am.

Saturday we have our club party at 1 at the Steiner Ranch clubhouse by the lake! I think that the Triple Bs is a great ride to hopefully bring most of the club out and riding together before the party. There will likely be groups doing 50 miles and others doing more (maybe even some doing less). I really hope everyone comes out for the ride… and most importantly the party afterward! Beer, burgers, hot dogs, and many other things in a family friendly setup.

Sunday is the Red Horn Coffee Shop ride which is 50 miles at a more relaxed pace (~17mph average over the whole ride). We stop at Red Horn at mile 18 for some coffee, pastries, breakfast tacos, and socializing before continuing back through Avery Ranch to the start.

All rides depart from Cups & Cones at 7:30am. The weather is getting cooler and soon we will adjust the start to 8:30 to try and pick up a couple of degrees.
